Death is the Greatest Blessing (8)

Death is an Illusion

“With all your science,

can you tell how it is,

and whence it is,

that light comes into the soul.”

                             Henry David Thoreau

A few weeks ago I published a meditation on ‘Life is an Illusion’; and after all I have said about death, it probably comes as no surprise that I say that Death is an Illusion. After all, I have claimed quite firmly that we do not die; we just change form. We move from the low vibration of the physical world of time to the high vibrational world of no-time.

Probably the most asked question in life, asked by all persons sometime at least once in their life, is “Is there a reason for my life?”. That question has haunted humanity since the first person looked around, recognized that they were not ‘that’, but ‘this’, and asked “Who, what am I?”, in what ever form that took before language was created, some 100,000 years ago. That question is the most basic question that we all face in the wonderment of life.

Only by relating life to death, and accepting the truth that life on the physical plane is but an aspect of eternal life that has to be experienced to be known, experienced in all its glory, all is sorrows, all its joys and all its woes, in order to understand eternity as a part of the eternal Being of the Divine. I have mentioned this before and will often again, that we are the experiential arm of the Eternal One that we call God, Allah, Divine Force, and so many names that cannot express the breathtaking and unimaginable Force that is All in All.

We are Here Because This Time is Our Time

I believe that we move in a circular pattern, from Life before Life, to Physical Life, to Life after Life, to Life before Life, to Physical Life, for all eternity. We taste all dimensions that Life has to offer; the good and the bad, the eventful and meaningful to the wastrel, And all tastes of life are as important as any other taste of life. No one leaves the physical plane before their time, and no one lives in the physical plane before their time. There is no wasted life, there is no life that could not have been without changing everything, no matter what the life appeared to be from inside physical life.

Love is all there Is

The only aspect of life is Love, the very nature of the Divine Force that is All in All. “God is Love, and they that abide in Love abide in God and God in them.” 1 John 4:16. All the tastes of life, no matter how it appears, is a face of Love, that face of God that is ever present and reveals itself to us in this world of the physical by all things physical. Even so, Love can not be seen as a physical object, but only experienced. All things we see and experience is a form of love, drawn out of the spiritual into the physical and then drawn out of physical into the spiritual. We are alive to experience Love in every form, from the twisted world of extreme fear to the glorious world of bliss with God as experienced by the mystics. All these are a form of love, as Love is all there is. we will live every aspect of Love in our infinite journeys through the cycle.

You are Love, living out the glory of God, the infinite Lover, in all its forms.

Questions to Ponder

Does the thought that you are a definitive form of the Love of God intrigue you? How does that fit with your experience of life?

Does the thought that you are the Face of God cause you alarm, fear, comfort, or joy?

Meditation

My Wonder, my Wisdom, my Lover, I throw myself into Your comfort, You who are able to release me from fear, doubt, and all pain. I bask in your warmth; warmth not of body but of soul; I curl up in the joy of the beauty that You give me that reflects Your very Being. I know I can reach the very heavens, that the Glory of God resides within me. I rejoice on being the source of Your experience. I ask only to be able to Live within Your Bounty, that place where my soul resides and where I know Your Love in all its Glory shines forth in all its wonder. I am grateful for this opportunity to glory in your Love that overflows my heart, and sings with the angels around us to our wonder.
