Abundance(17)-Nothing is Impossible.

Pondering

Nothing is Impossible, —– if you have the faith of a mustard seed.” Matt. 17:20. So spoke Jesus to his disciples. As we briefly discussed last time, science says the same thing. Now the odds of realizing and using that goal, that is, that truly anything is possible, is still a matter of statistics, with some things being fairly easy to move towards and some things being extremely difficult.

The most quoted example of that in the science literature, is a discussion of the air in a given room. There is a chance, just a chance, that since the molecules of the gas of air are always moving, colliding, and moving in a new direction, that all the molecules could, really could, all move to one corner of the room, leaving a perfect vacuum in the rest of the room. Mathematicians love to quote the odds of that happening, but the fact remains that it could happen.

Jesus talked about faith, and his words are very similar with the same intent as my discussions on the move of all of the air in a room to a corner of the room. In Matt. 17:20, Jesus says “If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you could say to a mountain ‘move from here to there’, and it would.” Powerful words, spoken as a bit of a putdown to the apostles (they had tried to heal someone and it had failed, and wondered why they had failed.), but true at the same time. There is always a possibility that a sequence of events could happen, no matter how slim the chance.

Jesus spoke the key words: “if you had faith“. Science puts it differently: if your energy stream is sufficiently powerful, anything could happen. Here we are talking not about a machine making energy, but the energy released by our thoughts, will, and conscious control.

The faith that Jesus was talking about was not just a wishful thinking that something would be so and so. I suspect the Aramaic word that Jesus actually spoke was much more intense than our understanding of that word ‘Faith’. Faith, as usually understood and practiced, is a nebulous belief that so-and-so is true — probably. Very seldom does it reach the level of certitude. And hardly ever does it reach the level of “knowing”, that is, the absolute knowledge that what is requested will occur, in some form or another. This is the level that Jesus was talking about, a level of absolute certainty, that the healing being requested was already granted, and the person would be healed.

A reading of the healing miracles of Jesus makes that point clearly. He knew, just knew, that when he looked at the person they were healed at that moment. Jesus spoke, sometimes announcing that when he uttered prayers, he was doing it for the others listening, not to plead for the cure, but to announce the cure. The cure was already completed, so firm was the faith, or knowledge that Jesus had.

Now Jesus, being human and physical, had to work through the process as any human would have to work through the process. As physics tells us, if sufficient energy is directed in certain manners, then chosen results will occur. Where did that energy come from in the case of Jesus? It came from his thoughts, his will, so directed and focused that the result Jesus was looking for occurred. Jesus understood deeply that he, and he alone, controlled his destiny. What he focussed on occurred, just as he knew it would. This was not wishing or hoping. This occurred exactly as he saw it, giving the results that was expected. He could turn his attention to something else immediately, since the task was already completed in his mind.

And it was so.

And Jesus said (John 14:12-14) “Greater things than this shall you do.” Jesus understood the power of the mind and soul, when combined with the focussing capability of the brain-mind-soul combination, could enable all of us to be as Jesus was, capable of directing our life in a manner to bring the kingdom of God to reality.

We have this capacity, not only spoken by Jesus, but strongly suggested by quantum physics. Our problem has been, we do not believe it. That is, we, as Jesus suggested, we lack faith that these words can possibly be true. We hope they are true. We wish they are true. We have niggling doubts about how they can be true for me, me, ignorant and sinner that I am.

But Jesus said they were, that you, I, can truly do these things.

So why do they not happen? Why is our life so fouled up?

Well, I hate to tell you this, but the world gives you and I exactly what we wish for. Quantum physics makes it clear that the observer, that is you and I, determine the results. The results are not happen-chance, but are directed by the observing force to reach a conclusion determined by the force upon the potential of each moment.

God, through the pen of Neale Donald Walsch in the series of books Conversation with God (CwG) has God talking about this aspect, and states that indeed, we receive exactly what we wish for. If we wish for a given result, then that is what we get: a wish for a result. If we know that we do not have such and such and ask to receive that, then we get exactly what we know: that we lack such and such. ‘Asking for something’ is always in the future, and the future never arrives, for it is always, Always, in the future.

And this agrees exactly with quantum physics!

The energy we impart with our soul and mind combination is very powerful, and weaves the world around us exactly as we command it be woven. We are the observers of our universe, and an infinite range of possibilities exist in each moment. We are the ones to choose the outcome, like in the stories that were popular a few years ago where one had a choice of endings and even a choice of how the story progressed. You could choose this page or that page to follow, and the story held together but had totally different endings.

Yes, our life is like that process. We choose our own story! We write our every day life. If we do not like the life we have, choose another path. We have that freedom, but we have to live with the path and the results we have woven by our previous decisions.

A friend of mine told me his story not long ago. He had many problems in life, kicked out of the service for smoking pot, dropped out of college, began drinking too much, got his girlfriend pregnant, got seriously in trouble with the law and had to take some serious looks at himself. One day he looked very hard (he had lots of help and a loving and supporting family), and just decided not to continue that life. He has not had a drink since then, has a very responsible job, married his girlfriend, and is living a reasonably good life. Now he still has his past record, and cannot remove those parts that were painful, but as he put it, those mistakes made him the man he is today.

He choose to change his story, and is sticking to that thread of life.

And so he has changed, and all around him events have moved to a much much more positive light. That is the power of the soul-mind keeping focus on the path. God has blessed him and kept the positive force always there, even when times were really bad.

Meditation

Infinite Knowledge, Spinner of the Universe, Gentle Lover, we allow ourselves to sigh in bliss in your arms. When we have placed our life in difficult times, we know that You are present as part of our very being, our soul, to bring us consolation, joy, and happiness. We give ourselves over to our very being in this existence, and relax in your embrace. We are learning to be as Jesus told us, to expand our very beings to be bringers of the light, to accomplish “greater things than this.” We bow in gratitude for this chance of Life, to rise to meet the possibilities you have granted us during this brief passage in physicality.

  1. Hiya, I’m really glad I have found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossip and internet stuff and this is actually irritating. A good site with exciting content, this is what I need. Thanks for making this web-site, and I will be visiting again. Do you do newsletters? I Can not find it.
